In 2011 Aura Dance company and Kaunas Textile Biennial organisers presented project „Box Melancholique“. Organisers had the same purpose – search of arts interflow.

Brothers twins „Os Gemeos” from Brazil created an installation – cosy little room. The interior of the room was filled with Italian lace, needleworks of artists mother and sisters, vintage heritage of Lithuanian interior. In this unusual room settled down the dancers of Aura Dance company. Half an hour interdisciplinary performance won big sympathies of audience. After premiere the dance critics claimed, that this project must have possibility to became „stage performance“. This idea was prophetic.

Choreographer J. Wieland came back to Lithuania and using the carcas of the project created „Box Melancholique“ adapted to stage. „Box Melancholique“ – very warm, cosy and full of good mood performance. Four dancers tells the stories, remembering the most beautifull moments of their lives. They give us the retrospective of their lives throug the visual expression, trying to revalue their memories facing to the presence. They are analysing, interpreting and searching themselves between two time dimensions.
